Senior 1B Sports day

Dear students,

may I remind you that on Wednesday 18th April we will be having the sports day. Therefore, on the day no lessons will be held so you do not need to get your big school bag. Get a small bag with your lunch, water bottle and if you wish some money to buy from the canteen at the Marsa sports complex. No mobile phone will be allowed.

I would also like to remind you that I will be collecting 3euro for the transport. Deadline to pay for the transport is Tuesday 17th April. Parents who wish to participate in the parents-students activities are kindly asked to fill in the form which was handed to students and give it to Ms. Josette by Monday.

On another note, I remind you to get your unused batteries to school as the competition of the battery collection is soon ending.

Happy weekend !

Senior 1B Maltese Trifle Practical

Dear senior 1B students,

on Thursday 19th April, you will have your first practical which is the Maltese Trifle or any other healthy dessert that makes use of milk/dairy products and fruits.

I remind you that you need to get:

  • the apron
  • the ingredients for the Maltese trifle (you can adapt the recipe as you wish, so you can get any fruits that you like. Ready made custard is acceptable too).
  • a dish in which you are going to layer the trifle
  • decoration items for the laying of the table
  • 2 tea towels to dry the dishes
  • some foil so that you can cover the trifle
  • the preparation sheet
  • you can also prepare a healthy drink from home e.g. a smoothie and serve it with your dessert.

With regards to the preparation sheet,  here are the answers of the ‘Reasons for Choice’ section:

  1. The dish chosen answers the assignment title.
  2. It can be prepared in the given time.
  3. Custard is made with milk, which is healthy for our bones.
  4. Fruits will be used.
  5. It is easy to make.

Should you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
